Still missing on the market was an extra-compact controller with exceptionally high reliability, able to provide not only the level of energy efficiency currently required by all industrial concerns, but also to integrate a whole series of features until now unthinkable in a single, and such a lightweight technological tool. This gap has now been bridged by Tiesse Robot which, with its partner Kawasaki Robotics, is launching on the market and in the major industry trade-fairs the new extra-compact F60 Controller, designed to soon equip the range of 3-10 kg capacity Kawasaki robots. F60 is smaller in size than all other currently-available similar controllers, with a weight of just 12 kg and dimensions 300x320 x 130 h mm, making it compatible with 19-inch rack fitting. The controller can withstand two additional external axes of 1.2 kW each, features all the communication buses used in the industrial sector as well as internal I/O units in 16+16 modules which are also expandable externally. By means of one of the two available USB ports, the robots to which the controller is connected can be equipped with a Bluetooth module able to activate the connection to smartphone and tablet in order to perform a functional check of the robot controller itself. Despite being so small in size, the controller can also be equipped with optional Cubic S board to safely monitor the robot operation areas.
The power of the new installed processor will also permit installing Kawasaki Vision Software directly in the controller without the aid of an external PC. Besides the serial and USB ports, Ethernet ports and, as optional, express PCI cards complete the technological fittings of this exceptionally high-performance controller, all set to become a new technological benchmark on the market.
