Thanks to its historic partnership with Kawasaki Robots, Tiesse Robot is launching onto the European market the new robots for the pharmaceutical-medical sector type MC004 in plated version, to be used in environments where resistance is required to VHP-hydrogen peroxide for the decontamination of the surface of the robot arm.
The new robot is extremely compact, it has a working radius of about 500 mm and extremely smooth surfaces with low roughness. There are no protruding or angular parts, in which bacteria could nestle, which would make their removal very complicated. The robot features a whole series of solutions, such as cable raceway for both pneumatic and electric gripper control inside the robot arm and the coaxial connectors at the robot base, precisely in order to optimize assembly inside drug preparation lines.
Five of these machines have been recently delivered to a prestigious Italian company operating in the field of pharmaceutical plant construction, which will test them in its new production lines to be exhibited at the next Interpack international trade fair.
MC004 goes to join its “elder” brother, the MS005, made totally of stainless steel and with 7 axes, the only robot of its kind in the world in snake configuration, which can be used in particularly dangerous work areas for the preparation of cytotoxic drugs. The Kawasaki technological proposal for the medical and pharmaceutical sectors is at this point complete. The new MC004 will be connected to the new super-compact controller F60, which will soon be equipping the Kawasaki robot range with capacity from 3 to 10 kg and which is all set to become the new technology benchmark on the market.
